| What are some songs I should learn? Hey, I just started guitar lessons like 3 weeks ago. I can't think of any partiular songs I want to play that I can actually play. (I'm really into metal.) I have been playing piano for 4 years, so I know plenty of music theory, if that will help. I want to play anything between hard rock and death metal, but preferably not like doom metal. As for what I can play right now....I think Crazy Train is the only song I can play, besides the one I wrote.
Preferably not in tunings lower than Drop D, because I don't know where my chromatic tuner is, and I'm currently in standard. |

| I'm guessing Christian songs, since this is in the Christian section?
Hmmm, "Artificial Immortality" by Becoming the Archetype would be fun. Also, "Death of Me" by RED.

| I'm asking for kind of easy songs. I've had 3 lessons. But thanks, I'll check those. |

| You'd be pretty solid with any array of Christian songs because many of them feature similar strumming patterns and chord progressions.
Here are some good places to start:
Every Move I Make
Might to Save
Open the Eyes of My Heart

End of the Age on that cd is in Drop D though I'm pretty sure.
Though either of those are probably a bit hard if you've only played for 3 weeks.

Hillsong United's new track "King of All Days" is pretty easy, modern, and Christian IF that's what you're going for.

| I learned two Skillet songs last night. Thus, I don't really need this thread anymore.
