| oh i see.
in our church, because we dont have a baptismal thing, we get a round free standing swimming pool in and just move a few chairs back to create room.
last time we had to empty it we used buckets and a chain gang, it took over an hour, we were still doing it at about 12:30am!

| I've always thought it was odd to not have people wear shorts and dark shirts. Instead of a baptismal/wet tshirt contest.
Out at the prison they use a baptismal that's made out of some kind of fabric. It's barely big enough for the big guys to get completely into. I've been to a couple of baptisms out there, and it's such a blessed time.

| Hi. I've seen you around the forum, but I don't think we have talked. Thanks for stopping by my forum. You play guitar?
You'd think it was a safe question on this forum, but rumor has it there are drum players here too... :P

| Yeah. I do play guitar, but my main speciality is singing/screaming. I'm pretty good too.

| It's got some sort of non-english print on the label. A friend of mine thought it was Japanese?

| Makes sense. Coca-cola has a green apple tasting soda for China so a cucumber one for Japan isn't entirely out of the question.

| Last night, it was so weird... I went out to the Prison to show a movie. (Left Behind II, if you want to know. Awful movie, and I've seen it a buncha times, but I digress...) When I go there they were already watching a video that someone had. It was a 9-11 conspiracy video, and since we had about 15 minutes before we had to start the movie, I let them keep watching it for a while.
About the 5th time I saw the second plane crash into the building, I lost it. I felt like such an idiot, but there I was blubbering like a fool. I know it's been almost eight years, but it still hurts to see it. Maybe I'm just too sensitive about it. I don't know. I had nightmares for months afterward.
In fact, I had a nightmare just a short time before it happened. I don't remember all the details, but it had to do with lots of people getting killed and it was being broadcast on the television. They were killed by something like a huge meat grinder. I woke up really early that day because I was having such a horrible dream. I woke up already upset from the dream. I had an early meeting at work, so I decided not to try to go back to sleep so I turned on the television. You all remember what we saw.
And I don't particularly want a discussion of the whole conspiracy thing, so please don't go there.

| I'm not continuing the discussion on the conspiracy, but I want to say something about the attacks. I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing despite it being quite a number of years. I tutored kindergarten for the past four years and it was always hard to get them to even grasp a little bit of the concept. However, I remember it very vividly and it was horrendous. I just pray that we never forget.

| A couple of weeks ago, I caught up with a former Pastor/Rabbi on facebook. I've missed him. I learned so much from him while he was my pastor. We chatted for nearly an hour tonight. Talking about all kinds of stuff in light of the Word. Good stuff. Man, I miss that fellowship. We're all scattered now. It's a blessing to be able to catch up with some of them again.
Which, now that I think of it, is also answer to a prayer. Quote:

We had Communion with crackers and kool-aid tonight. One of the guys wanted to have communion, and because I didn't know anything about it, they just improvised. It was great. Pray for "Jack." Monday he is going to court to try to get visitation with his children. And pray for "Dan" he got out today. Should be with his family even as I'm typing this. It's going to be an uphill climb. To be looking for a job in this economy is bad enough, but with a felony on your record, just makes things that much tougher. He's got family to help him, so he's better off than some. But I'm sure he's very sad tonight. Both of his parents are gone now, and his dad passed away while he was down. But he lived long enough to see "Dan" get baptized.
