| I have to admit, I have never seen Miracle Max. Neither have I heard of it. I'll have to see if I can find it for my viewing sometime.

| I feel so out of touch with reality. It's a shame.

| And now for another installment of "I Love Friday Night Bible Study" the ongoing saga of how much I enjoy... well, Friday Night Bible Study.
I mentioned last week that because "Andy " tolerated our worship music, I asked him to bring the music for our prayer/fellowship time. When I walked in, the song that was playing was very generic worship type music. So I said to Andy "Tell me this isn't the music you brought in." He said "No, this isn't it. But I did bring some stuff. Do you really want to hear it?"
Heck yeah! Bring it on!!
He brought Killswitch Engage - Rose of Sharyn. Which is pretty much what I expected him to bring in. Not the song exactly, but the type of song. So he gave me the lyrics (in non-readable micro print) and even with the lyrics I couldn't make out what was being said. Actually, the video link I posted above is much easier to understand. And you know... the lyrics were not bad. I just don't get the screaming. I don't understand how anyone gets the message of the music past the screaming. Unless the screaming is the message? I dunno.
But I have a theory with Christian music: if it glorifies God, and you don't get it? It wasn't for you. And I can't speak for this particular band, but the lyrics were not bad. I've heard worse in more musically palatable forms.
Then he switched to (I think they're called Flyleaf?) Interesting stuff. I can see why kids with bad home lives would be drawn to it. Not my cup of tea, but it was ok.
And then there was Thrasher? I actually didn't mind them. I wouldn't like a steady diet of them, but they were actually quite good.
All in all, about what I expected, but I think it's good to experience new stuff.
Andy and I had quite a talk about guitar playing. He's a very good player and I was picking his brain. He was really very encouraging.
After study, as we were walking out, I was discussing with several of the guys, end time prophecies and our understanding on the whole Pre/Mid/Post Trib thang. I love talking Bible.

| LOL. Yeah, I need to get Benjamin in here to talk about teh br00talz...
As far a Christian hardcore rock goes, I think Thrice is a pretty good go-between from the really extreme stuff to more tame forms. |

| I was going through some old scrapbooks and found this
I've actually been baptized three times. Once as an infant, once when I was at a Baptist picnic (they were apparently dunking anyone who showed an interest.) Then the one where I knowingly chose to follow the Lord in Baptism.

| The note should have said to make sure that the undergarments were white. Of course, I am sure that there could be other baptismal robes that are other colors than white, but I've never encountered any. You never want anyone showing their "colors" to the congregation. That being said, it's been some time ago. Just to give you a comparison, I wasn't even born in 1983.

| Yup, white. See through when wet.
