| (GHz) You give me joy that's unspeakable - And I like it! So yeah, I noticed this was a happy little corner of the forum, so I decided to post. See if I can connect with some of the many awesome people on this forum.
Name's Josh, and I'm an Aussie. I'm the son of the pastor's of my Church and, incidentally, the ex-bassist-now-electric guitarist there. Throughout my 17 years I've had countless blessings from God, as well as a few trials.
For all those that can't be bothered to work out the intricate clues about me from those two short paragraphs:
Name: Josh
Age: 17
Country: Australia
Instruments: Bass, acoustic and electric guitars
Relationship status: Single
Favourite movie(s): Star Wars (all of them)
Favourite book(s): The Bible, Harry Potter
Favourite band(s): Casting Crowns, Grand Prize, Hawk Nelson, Newsboys Phatfish, Relient K, Sanctus Real, Skillet, Switchfoot
Favourite song at the moment: "Break Me" - Grand Prize
Denomination: Non-denominational
I'd write more, because I know I'm missing an awful lot from the favourite categories that I have there and I know I'm missing an actual blog (technically), but I have to duck off to Church.
But yeah, hopefully I get updating this thing, at least weekly. I'm on holidays, so I have an awful lot of time.
Catch ya
~ Josh

| Yeah, I'll bite.
There are great people here. It's nice to talk to folks that are all the way around the world from where you are. I'm old enough to be you father (47) but we can still be friends. I'm not into the newer groups. I just don't understand that music. It's a generational thing, I know. I like the old, old, more traditional stuff and country stuff. Do you play in a group or solo? I play stringed instruments but mostly solo. |

That's fair enough. I don't like old music, and I don't like new mainstream music. :P
I used to be bass in school band, but that was for a year and I didn't like it. I've been playing in the worship team at Chuch for about three years now. It's me, the guitarist who's been here since our Church started and has been giving me pointers since I started playing, a drummer and singers who are our core members.

| Yes! There is another Santcus Real fan still out there! Just kidding. I know they have a fan base, I just don't hear from their front these days.
Hello josh, I'm Tait. Feel free to check out my journal as well.

| Nice to meet you. I'll have to take a look at your journal at a spare moment. Now to start writing!
----------------------------------- I have fallen to my knees
As I sing a lullaby of pain
I'm feeling broken in my melody
As I sing to help the tears go away
Promise of a Lifetime - Kutless
I looked this up today, simply because I saw someone post the lyrics on this forum, and when I heard it the song really got to me. Lately I've been struggling with all sorts of temptations... including giving into them. And it's been eating me up inside.
The song eventually talks about a promise from God that will always be kept. And that promise is that He will never walk away. And that really reminded me that nothing I can do will prevent Him from loving me. We are no longer bound by the Law.
So yeah, a few of my scrambled thoughts for the night... I'm going to bed. :P

| Someone loves you even when you don't think so
Don't you know? You got me and Jesus
By your side through the fight you will never be alone on your own
You got me and Jesus
Me and Jesus - Stellar Kart
So today I was day 2 of holidays and I am just as bored as day 1. There's about three assessments I'm meant to do, but haven't had the heart. Does anyone know of any good revenge tragedies that aren't High Noon, Medea, or The Cid? On top of that English assessment, I have to compose some music for the school band as a Music assessment and finish some Maths stuff.
The Maths stuff is all well and good... but I've misplaced my pencil case. Not too bad, apart from the fact it has the calculator I need to solve the stuff.
So yeah, great start to two weeks of no school. And to top all that off, my thoughts have been wandering to a certain girl that I've liked for several weeks now. There were so many things I wanted to talk to her about and say, so many opportunities to do it, but I missed so so many of them.
Ah well, God's always here in the end. And He's all that matters when push comes to shove.

In other news, yesterday I got my Provisional 1 driver's license - this means I can drive around without another licensed driver. Within an hour, I had convinced my dad to let me take the car to go get McDonalds - I came back without incident, so it's all good. :P
