BWCA: Boundary Waters Canoe Area

it's absolutely gorgeous up there!
Anyone ever been? Seen the northern lights? Met a bear?

Share any sweet stories.

BWCA Eastern area

I have been twice, 2008 and 2009. We went in through Grand Marais/Gunflint Trail (Voyager Outfitters, very nice folks). This year we hit more northern pike and bass. One of the guys landed a 42 inch pike, scary big.

Last year was colder, we caught walleye. 10 Feet of walleye in one day -- sweet. (Seriously; six walleye over 20 inches each.)

Most of the group were good Christian men, enjoying the splendor of God's creation. Bald eagles flying free where the Lord placed them, nature in balance.

PS: Loons are bigger than I imagined, and make weird noises -- especially after midnight.
