Williamses' Suspensions Temporary Blocked Again
Judge blocks suspensions of Vikings' Williamses until case is decided

Some say the players should not be held responsible for ingesting a steroid masking agent that was not listed on the StarCaps dietary label, thus their league enforced suspensions should be removed.

Others say, regardless of what the product labeling said, the players should be held responsible for what they ingest and the suspensions should be enforced.

What do you all think?

No...while it does seem like "Well they're professionals, they should be responsible for everything like that" they obviously were cautious about what they were ingesting, and the fact that they checked the label and it didn't have the masking agent proves this to me. So no, I don't think it was their fault and its not a just suspension. Plus, I don't think they did steroids, so they wouldn't have a reason to mask them in the first place. Its not like we're dealing with anybody who has a history of drug abuse.

If it's not listed, how in the world are they supposed to know it's in it? I think the suspension was ludicrous in the first place. I also agree with penguin of war. He read the label and was being careful. It wasn't as if he was trying to get around a drug test because he had taken steroids. Sometimes there are extenuating circumstances, and I think this is one of them.

Dang it! in the back of my head I knew I was going to crew that one up!

Anyway, I agree. It seems that admist the rules there needs to be grace at the same time, what stops a player from adding a substance to a supplement and claiming it to be 'tainted', or irresponsibly labeled?
