| I got a new car today. So I totaled my 1994 4Runner(Which I loved that truck) and my dad, who owns a used car lot, got me a 2000 Nissan Maxima. It's the 4 door luxury sports edition and it is awesome! We sold my totaled truck for 1000 and I am going to pay him another 1000 over the period of a few months. The car handles really good, runs good, great air, has a new transmission, and brand new wheels. The sun roof is jammed, some type of a motor problem, but that is not important.

I'll get some soon. Maybe after I add the under glow in a few days.

It makes SOME people (myself included) think you are a tool in MOST cases. If you want to do something that draws attention to yourself, have some prformance to back it up (IE performance parts THEN body kits etc).
Reminds me of a car I saw yesterday...so bad I took pictures, It was a dodge neon AUTOMATIC with a autozone wing that was level with the roofline, unpainted black bumpers, smoked tail lights etc... BEST PART OF ALL, it had pillar gauges, but it definately did not make FI sounds (and didn't have the getup and go of FI)

However, it you're absolutely set on doing this, do yourself a favor and dont shred the factory wiring harness in the process. |

Hacking into wiring is asking for electrical issues... and electrical can be a huge pain to troubleshoot.
Also, being able to undo any work you have done of this nature in the future will do wonders for resale value... For example, when I got my car, the ONLY thing in it that wasn't factory was the head unit... I balked at that at first, however, as everything else was clean/ well maintained, I was willing to take the risk that the harness wasn't destroyed during the install. If the car had had other cosmetic modifications (especially owner installed ones) I would have definately kept walking. As it was, I was willing to pay a premium for a car that was "unmolested".

| IMO, stuff like that is ok if it's an all-out show car, and I'm talking about the kind that's not a daily driver. On any other car it just makes you look like just another punk with a 17 second civic with a fart can and a "performance chip" who thinks he can beat a Ferrari.
Stuff like this might be popular in some circles, but I've yet to meet a true gearhead who is not annoyed by such antics.
My car is pretty quick, and I'm constantly challenged by people in said category. It gets annoying-fast. I don't want someone trying to show off, losing control and taking my car out with something that should be hauling groceries, not racing. (not that that's likely at the speeds these cars manage...)
If you think we're being harsh, well, we are. I'm sure we've all had our experiences with the ricer crowd, and we tend to be very vocal in our opposition to such antics.
All that being said, it's your car, so do whatever you want.
EDIT: Just looked up the 1/4 mile time for your car, and it's decently quick for a sedan. PLEASE don't turn it into a ricermobile, it doesn't need it.

I want to do it and the under glow will be easy to remove, so will the pulse lights. So if I don't like it or want to get rid of it, it will be easy. Quote:

| Well, if you're showing it then you do sorta have an excuse...
And what's wrong with a window tint? I happen to have a Maryland-legal 35% tint on my car. As long as you don't use an Ebay kit for it I don't consider a tint ricey. (you know, the purple-tint do-it-yourself kits that bubble up after a few days in the sun...)
