Check out this idea
I have an idea and I want everyones honest opinion on it.

I would like to start the worlds first internet metal band. It'll consist of 4-5 members (like an average band) but everything will be done via internet. We would send each other material and ideas for songs or finished songs etc..etc..Maybe this is already being done but I dident find anything like it. Just think about it, 4-5 people from across the globe, a vocalist from Canada, a guitarist from England and one from the U.S., a bass play from France and a drummer from Japan. I think its possible to do it if you can find the right people.

Give me your HONEST opinion, my feelings wont be hurt.

I've seen this on other forums too. While it can be done to some extent, it never seems to turn out as well as expected. But it's always fun.

I think you would be much more successful if instead of a metal band, you smuggled methamphetamines across international borders instead.

Logistically, I think it would be a nightmare. Especially for editing. I'm not sure how you would 'practice' and if you decided to tour, where would you begin? I think exchanging ideas across the globe is good, but the idea of writing music with multiple people in different countries would be nightmarish for me.

Crazier things have been done...
