She's a good governor because she lives in a welfare state and wastes the tax-payors money?!?

I think you've lost all touch with reality.

I'm curious if you are equally OK with AIG wasting taxpayer money?

It sounds proper for the Governor of Alaska to use federal money to help her people. It isn't like she wasted State money on it. It is her job to have the best interest of Alaska in mind and not the best interest of the nation.
Fiscal responsibility isn't her job? I didn't know you were so pro-welfare.

The people of the State own the natural resources. The business doesn't. So it is fair for the business to make a profit but it is also fair for the people of the State to get paid for their natural resources that they are allowing the business to use. Again, it may be "wealth redistribution", but many and perhaps all taxes are.
More rationalizing.

Good relative to the other governors maybe. I doubt I would even go that far. But what I basically said was that your reasons for why she is "bad" are stupid. I even gave you an example of something that I thought she did wrong but you ignored it so that you could make these snide comments.

She is not responsible for the fiscal problems of the federal government. She is responsible for the fiscal problems of her state. How are you able to defend the federal government when they are the ones who made the rules and wrote the checks?

You either aren't reading or aren't understanding my argument. On second thought, you probably just like hear yourself talk.

Federal money includes funds from Alaskan taxpayers, tlj. It also comes from me. I don't appreciate you advocating its waste.

I am not advocating its waste. I totally disagree with the Federal government funding the project. But I am getting irritated and tired so slam her all you want.

There is a problem with a Fed who so carelessly doles out money that we are even having this discussion. Why was the money approved for Alaska in the first place? Where was the fiscal responsibility in the beginning of the process? It is just a symptom of the major flaw in liberal economics: spending other peoples' money makes the spender less frugal.
