The BAND Metallica have been around since 1980-something. The GAME is new. Came out in Australia around the end of May.

GH Metallica is/was the best version I've played so far IMO. Haven't played Greatest Hits yet, my mate's got it though. I guess it's all down to what sort of music you like.

I would personally die without the neck slider, but this is on GHWT.
Isn't there an Expert+ mode? How hard is that?

Expert+ is only for the drums. It's REALLY hard. Insane, infact. You need to have some real stamina in your legs to last in some songs. I've done Fade to Black and Master of Puppets on Expert+. Dyers Eve is the hardest song for drums on Expert+.

Apparently so, but I haven't seen it. Some songs don't need the neck slider, like One (on Medium) and King Nothing.

GH = Fail

RB = Win

Metallica = Fail

GH + Metallica = Ultimate Fail

I've played this game quite a bit. Not very satisfying. Metallica songs aren't fun to play IMO. They didn't need to change the charts of songs (especially One)...

I can't go into explaining how much worse the new One chart is. The old one in Gh3 was so much better. Sure, it's much easier, if I practiced a lot on that song, I could probably FC it, but that has nothing to do with the quality of the chart. [/rant]

The last GH game that showed any appeal to me was Gh3. Everything after that is not interesting to me. BESIDES Smash Hits. Haven't played it, but I like the GH:WT engine (not as good as Gh3, but it was alright), and that's what it's built on. Plus it actually has some songs that are worth playing.

I dislike them. Megadeth is way better IMO...would've been an amazingly better GH than Metallica.

I like Megadeth. Guitar Hero Megadeth would have been lame. The sales would have been 10% of what the Metallica version was.
