Guitar Pro or Power Tab?

Which do you prefer? I prefer Power Tab. From what I've heard about Guitar Pro, it's let me down.

I've only used Guitar Pro, and I thought the notation and MIDI was pretty good for knowing the rhythm and what not. But there's really too much there, compared to a text document with simple tab or chords.

For looking at specific parts of a song, I think it's alright, but I don't tend to use it as often as I could.

I haven't seen either of them. What is it that they do?

I've been a rabid Guitar Pro fan for about 8 years now.

I like Guitar Pro too. I found a program called TuxGuitar for free online and it opens Guitar Pro files. You can find songs at ULTIMATE GUITAR TABS ARCHIVE | 300,000+ Guitar Tabs, Bass Tabs, Chords and Guitar Pro Tabs! Haven't found a lot of Praise and Worship songs though.

I use Power Tab, I don't know much about Guitar Pro because I thought it costed money.

Or you can just listen to the song on youtube or something then look at a basic tab.

I prefer guitar pro. It's even worth the $$$... I don't even use it to download tabs, I put my band's music into it.
