HI All,

I'm looking for recommendations on pop/rock/alternative Christian female front bands with catchy songs that have chordings/structure that will be relatively easy for a beginner to play. Please recommend any artists, albums, or even specific songs.

I am getting my daughter an electric guitar for her 7th birthday, an mp3 player, and want to get her CDs of the artists you recommend. I'm hoping to spark her interest in learning guitar by playing songs she likes.

We listen to K-Love together - she likes Natalie Grant, Britt Nicole, Superchick to name a few.

She plays piano and I have started her on acoustic guitar, and I've played guitar for a long time.

I'm not a fan, but I would recommend Krystal Meyers. She's basically almost exactly what you're looking for. You could also try Flyleaf, but just like Meyers, I'm not really a fan.

I would check out The Benjamin Gate too, but I'm not sure if they're exactly what you're after.

EISLEY!!! Just what you're looking for, they are the bomb! Though I suppose they're not as openly christian as some of the other bands mentioned.

Flyleaf, HB (not necessarily Pop, but who cares?), Flee the Seen (great metal-like band that has a girl singer), and the great Paramore.

She'll love Paramore especially xD
