Finally Figured out where to put my Tap Tempo!

So, if you've been checking out these boards you probably saw a post from me a month or so ago about attaching a tap tempo switch directly to my pedaltrain. While this was definitely a feasible option (I had plenty enough room to install the tiny switch), it wasn't a good solution (not enough room for my gargantuan foot). So last night I was looking at my pedalboard for alternatives. Strangely enough I got the inspiration from looking at thesteve's pedalboard...but I'm not really sure why.

I was going to install it directly into my volume pedal...but I couldn't find a place that would work in both positions. So I glanced at my wah. I've got one of the old Morley Bad Horsies that I picked up for $25 on eBay. It's beat up and has a great road worn look. The problem is that it is freakin' huge. Takes up about 20% of my pedalboard. Here's a pic from Morley's site:
Morley Pedals - Steve Vai Bad Horsie Wah

If you look at the top right corner (what would be your bottom left if you were standing behind it) you notice that there's a decent sized blank spot. The mirror image on the other side is the status LED. I opened it up and noticed that there is TONS of free space. So, this morning I drilled it up and put a tap tempo directly into my wah enclosure!

No pics yet because my drill just died on me, but I'll put them up soon. Looks good and I think it's the perfect solution.

That's a great use of the extra space on that wah. I've considered the Morley wahs in the past to replace my Crybaby, but the enclosures just seem way to big for all that they're doing.

Good news, Bad news time.

The good news is that the tap tempo works and looks great. Definitely a success.

The bad news is that I just nicked one of the resistors when the drill fired back on me. So, now I'm going to have to replace that resistor. Sound passes...just no wah.
