I know that there are a couple of threads around the forum that allow you to share what sort of music you're listening to. And this one is very similar. But just in this forum of Classical, Jazz and World music, maybe share about what you find so interesting about the music you're listening to.

Im currently listening to an artist called Aisha Duo playing a piece called Amanda. Its a soft creation with xylophone and violin and I like it just because its soothing. Its also one of the free mp3s that come when you buy a new computer.

Hi, dogfood, how ironic that you're from New Zealand, and my most favorite singer in the world is from New Zealand,Hayley Westenra! Do you like her, too?

Hayley is a unique artist. She's always had a beautiful, pure soprano voice. She is a classical crossover artist. She sings anything from Maori folk songs, to classical arias, Irish/Celtic music, hymns, light pop, and even contemporary Christian (Majesty, by Delirious!). Now, she's been writing a lot of her own songs, and they are among the best songs she's ever done. She is very popular in Japan, and now Taiwan, where she's become quite the superstar. She's even released 2 albums just for Japan, singing popular Japanese songs in English, and a few in Japanese.
