| The official ramen noodles thread No matter how rich I become, I will always eat Ramen noodles.
I love them. There are so many different ways to pronounce the name, too
"Rah-men"
"Ray-men"
some people even say "Roe-men"
However you say it, I still think this is by far the cheapest, and one of the best tasting foods out there.
Anyways, I am about to cook some right now.
How do you cook yours? Do you add things to it? Do you do a certain thing to your food to make it better??
I personally just put the water in a pan and cook it normally.
Any tips on how to make the best meal ever even better??

| hahaha i've never heard anyone call it "ray-men" that's funny!!
I like mine in the little cups, so i just add hot water to it and sometimes if i want it spicier, i add in one of the pepper packs that you get when you buy little caesers pizza! BUt not the whole thing. That'd be way too spicy.
hope you soup come out delicious |

| i put frozen veggies, left over meat (cubed up), and pot stickers in mine. Also, if you beat an egg you can stir it in and it'll be a bit like eggflower soup (sort of) which is quite good.
If you put enough healthy stuff in it kind of detracts from the fact that you're eating like five days worth of sodium

| Other than just boiling some water and dumping them in, then adding the ingredients of the packet, I sometimes do this:
Put the noodles in boiling water, add some butter, use only about half the packet that came with the noodles, add a little pepper. After they finish cooking, scramble two or three eggs together with a piece of cheese...Then mix it all together at the end. Yum.
I just tried that one day when I wanted ramen noodles and eggs. I thought it might work together, and it did..for me at least.
I agree though, ramen is pretty awesome. |

| I make it like macaroni and cheese
boil the water, put the noodles in, drain the noodles, pour the little flavor packet in, stir, eat. |

| I remember the first time I ever tried 'em. My mother was going to college and brought home with her a foreign student (Hong Kong). We lived on a 100 acre farm with pigs, cows, chickens, ducks, fresh vegetable garden, etc. I was very young, but I still remember. The guys name was Kwokwing. Not sure if I spelled it right though. Kwokwing wanted to see how Americans lived. (So he picked an abnormal family Ha)
He stayed for the weekend. On the final day he prepared a meal which included these new noodles. The were very good. I know that he added different spices but don't know what they were. I've eaten them ever since.
Another funny note: Kwokwing asked if our dogs were being raised for consumption. He said that dogs in Hong Kong would never get as fat as our dogs. |

| If you have leftover steak and cook the ramen and add the steak, some hard boiled eggs, some green onions, and other seasonings, it can be very tasty!

| The price of ramen noodles seems to have skyrocketed. I've always got them by the case for about a dime a pack. Lately they seem to be about a 15 cents to a quarter a pack. We need ramen reform. We need some change I can use. Bring back the 10 cent noodles. This is nothing short of class warfare. The rich keep getting richer and I can't even afford noodles. |
