| Grand Theft Auto Before I get flamed for liking these games, I just want people to know that these are no different from any other "violent" games. It is just the fact that it is in a more familier setting that makes it seem worse.
And on top of that, I KNOW that I know the difference between what is real, and what isnt. I know that you cant just go out and buy guns and kill people. I know that if your car flips over, it wont catch fire and the words "MISSION FAILED" wont come up.
I just think people get the wrong idea from these games in the media. For example, alot of people dont know that the whole "Hot Coffee" scandal wasnt as bad as people thought. You had to actually get INTO your games text and alter it, as it was in the text, just not active. Also, they have since created a new version of San Andreas, which is now sold in stores rather than version one.
ANYWAYS, anyone else here play these games?
I play San Andreas quite a bit. I have beaten it twice, and just bought it for PC for 10bucks and im playing through it again. I beleive I am on the "Los Secrepolus" mission, right before you leave Los Santos.
I have beaten all the others except GTA1 and GTA2. I really enjoy these games. They all have fairly good storys (Even though they all rip off movies from their time. San Andreas: Menace II Society, Boyz in da hood. Vice City:Goodfellas, Scarface.). The graphics are ok. Voiceovers are done very well. And all of these games have very high replay value.
