Double new pedal day!

While out and about town I ran across one of these:



with one of these:



for $30. I talked him down and walked out the door with it for $25.

I then proceeded to drive to worship practice. I plugged this thing in the front of my chain and I was VERY pleasantly surprised. This pedal is fantastic. It seriously is one of the fattest, warmest, best sounding overdrives I've ever played on. It's actually quite hard to find an unusable setting. It works well with my clean and dirty channel, as well as all of my other effects. I'm going to try and see if it jives with my single coils later this week. This pedal is a total sleeper pedal. I think if Zakk Wylde's name wasn't on it it'd be a very popular pedal.

The other new pedal is really old. I traded my bass player a recently acquired Boss DD-3 for a vintage EHX Small Stone. You guys know what it sounds like and looks like. I'm pretty stoked. I'm going to try that one out after Sunday.

So being the gear flipping addict I am I took my pedals with me to my camping trip on the coast to deal search. I traded my zakk wylde overdrive for a 1980s boss od1 made in Japan.
