| Typography Geeks Unite! Anyone else here consider themselves really big nerds when it comes to typography? That is, the love of all things typefaces and text.
And some favorite typefaces as well. I just discovered Brioso as far as serif faces go, which is a far more calligraphic typeface than the more traditional Garamonds and Caslons. On my site, I ended up using Californian for the main title and Eras Light for the subtitles. http://www.jonathandong.com/
Does this excite anyone else? Do you have a Helvetica obsession? Do you inspect Roman ruins to check if they are in Trajan? Are you a supporter of ban comic sans :: Putting the Sans in Comic Sans ? |

| Oh, man... I am totally one of you.
I've been spoiled, though, because I haven't had to go very far outside the norm since Microsoft released their absolutely fantastic set of ~6 "C" fonts (Corbel, Calibri, Constantia, Consolas, Candara, Cambria... I think that's all) with the newer versions of Office. These are wonderful wonderful fonts.

| Holy Moley if this isn't right up my avenue!
I totally am a typography geek. I've even created a few of my own fonts (one can be seen in a recent blog post).
I LOVE HELVETICA. COMIC SANS IS THE TABOO FONT. IT SHOULD NEVER BE USED IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT ANYTHING. |

| I hate Times New Roman. I use Arial as my default in word processing. It's simple and clean.
I use comic sans when I'm not serious, or when I'm trying to convey a lighter mood. I don't really have anything against any font (except TNR, simply because it's force on me) I think they all have their place. Even papyrus.
How many fonts do you have installed on your computer? I think I have over 500.

| Nate opened my eyes to the "C" fonts a while back. A few of them are simply gorgeous. I stick with them most of the time now. I do use Verdana for web uses, though. |

| The C fonts? LOL! Speaking of C fonts, one I've been using a lot recently is Chalet. It's the newsboys official font, so when I make graphics for my forum, or nb wallpapers, etc. I use it. They have it as a free download on their website. It's a very clean, nice font.

| I don't even have Helvetica installed on this computer.
Last semester, one of my professors formatted the syllabus (and every other document for the class) in Comic Sans. Made me cringe every time. |

| I like Candara, Corbel and Georgia a lot.
I probably use Arial more than anything though. |

| I haven't used the C fonts much, perhaps I should check them out more. First impressions is that I like Corbel much more then Calibri, and Constantia (which has interesting triangle serifs...) more than Cambria. Candara is pretty nice, though. Times New Roman is a good book and text face, even if it is somewhat of a mediocre display face. Very legible. Display faces are more interesting for sure, though. |
