You're in for disappointment then. She does virtually no "growling" on the album.

However, I still quite enjoy it.

Bird-Brains by Tune-Yards YouTube - tUnE-yArDs "Hatari" - watch in HD - Brilliant- minus the useless spelling

Popular Songs - Yo La Tengo - probably my favorite this year.

I'd say it's the best Yo La Tengo since Nothing Turned Itself Inside Out.

Has anyone mentioned Memory Tapes in here yet? If not, it definitely should be...that album is gorgeous sounding.

The new Strung Out is awesome, even though it sounds like the vocalist chain smoked like crazy in the past haha.
There's only one song on Battle Studies I don't like too.

When you call anything with harsh vocals "screamo", it makes as much sense as calling anything with distorted guitar "heavy metal".

the new Casting Crowns is average. and the new Norah Jones is so completely not a Norah Jones album, I wonder where the space aliens took the real Norah Jones. them crooked vultures was meh. still, a very high volume past couple of Tuesdays, as far as new stuff goes. still not sure what I'd call the best album of 2009, though.

Yeah I'll throw Battle Studies into the mix, and Phrazes for the Young By Julian Casablancas. Id also like to add that the new Switchfoot album is quite awesome.

Well, now that the Them Crooked Vultures album has come out and after listening to it one through last night and all morning at school, I'd say it and U2's latest album are my picks. Definitely the best rock supergroup I've ever heard.

Fall Be Kind [EP] - Animal Collective

Amazing. These guys are one of the best things to happen to music in the last decade.
