I've been reading some reviews, and with your recommendation, I think I'm going to buy this. I got a nice little bonus @ work so I'm gonna treat myself.
Do I also need to get a metronome? Several people have mentioned it here.

| Metronomes are always good things to have. But online metronomes can work, too, if you don't want to get your own.

| Good stuff. You won't regret getting Learn and Master, it's a fantastic program. Glad I could help out with the recommendation. And, yeah, a metronome helps a lot. Using one on the computer is okay, but if you play/practice away from it, you'll need a "real" one. And, just a tip, if you buy one, spend the extra coin and get an old-fashioned one that clicks, rather than a digital one that beeps. If you play/practice to the beeping for too long, you'll slowly lose your sanity.

| I just placed the order. Oddly enough, after my tithe, and what I wanted to put into savings, the amount left over was just enough for this.

Well, they're easier to carry around than a drummer, plus they don't eat as much, they don't whine, they keep a steadier beat, and they stop playing when you want them to.
On the down side, there aren't nearly as many metronome jokes as there are drummer jokes.

Kinda like the Hebrews in the desert who got just enough manna for the day.
Ain't God neat?

Nah. They're usually late, and when they finally show up at your door, first they knock fast, then slow, then fast...

And they've probably eaten the pizza.

| Metronomes don't insist on getting a cut of the pay for the gig. That's a good enough reason right there!

| Yes, but drum machines sound like aluminum cans filled with feces. So I suppose we're stuck with drummers. |

| But with a drum machine, you only have to punch in the rhythm once.
