Best Albums of 2009 (so far)

I'm going to go ahead and put Stryper's Murder By Pride based solely on the four songs I've heard thus far.

I'll throw Jars of Clay's The Long Fall Back To Earth into the mix.

I've heard their music a little, but I'm not really in to it.

I'll need to give it a few more listens to be sure, but for now I don't think it's nearly as good as The Fiance.

I think any discussion of the best releases, in a year that has already involved new releases by mewithoutYou and Jars of Clay starts with them, and then branches out to include others. They are the automatic considerations.
