| Water Substitute I drink mostly water, orange juice, and milk, however I do get tired of those and get cravings for something else. I currently have koolaid as my "I'm not in the mood for water" drink. Does anyone else get these cravings for something other than water? And what do you drink instead?

| Coffee or iced tea for me. I don't care for sweet drinks, so I rarely opt for soft drinks. |

#5 | | ♥ Mrs. Skeeter ♥ | I like juice! We try and only buy 100% juices. I also make iced tea fairly often. Now that it's summer, I suspect I'll be making lots more. If there's pop (soda, whatever you want to call it) in the house, then I do drink it, but not really as a water substitute. I'm generally not a fan of water+powder drink mixes like Kool-Aid and Crystal Lite. Not that I won't drink them, I just don't buy them for consumption in our own home. They just taste so... artificial. (Sounds funny from someone who likes soft drinks, huh?)

| Despite all the hype on one side and all the nay-sayers on the other, vitaminwater and its offshoots are pretty delightful. Yes, they have calories, but you are looking for something other than water, after all, and most anything "other" you drink will have calories.
They have less calories by far than a Coke or Koolaid, and less sugar to boot. The sweeteners are all natural, even if some (crystalline fructose in real VW) are less than desireable. You'll avoid the disgusting aspartame, sucralose, phenylywhatchamahoo.
It doesn't take you a mile of running to burn the calories from a bottle of vitamin water. Yes, nay-sayers, it's not as healthy as water. No, hypers, you can't use it in place of a balanced diet. Nonetheless, it's a better alternative than even many "teas" at retail.
