10 - Amazing CD. Everyone should own it.
9 - Among the best of the year.
8 - One of the top CDs around, but could have been improved in a few places.
7 - Not a bad CD, but could have been better in a number of places.
6 - Pretty good for it's genre, but overall it's only acceptable.
5 - Decent CD, but only if you're a big fan of this genre.
4 - If you love this band, you'll like this CD. Otherwise, probably not.
3 - If you're a fan of this genre, the CD is barely acceptable.
2 - If you're a big fan of this band, this CD is tolerable.
1 - Even if you like this band, you won't like this CD.

| I've been waiting for As Cities Burn to come out with a new cd for a long time. And this album didn't disappoint me. I rate it a nine. Every song on this CD is unique and enjoyable. The only reason I don't rate it a ten is that the album itself feels incomplete. Like it didn't get quite finished. Otherwise, a wonderful release.
Also, as a side note, the guitar tone is very awesome. |

Because if you don't, I can see why you would have that incomplete feeling, trust me, if you don't have Gates, get it. It is quite possibly the greatest, and definitely the most ☺☺☺☺ As Cities Burn song of all time.
You will then feel the album completes itself.
This is album lives up to Come Now Sleep, it is easily just as good and yet considerably different. I'm waiting till I have listened to it several more times before I leave a review, but in a whole, this album is incredible (minus "84' Sheepdog", that is the only song i'm not yet a fan of).
It's nice to hear T.J do some guest vocals.

| I do not have the special edition, but I have heard the song "Gates". And yes I do think it should have been the last song on every edition of the album. But even with that song, it still feels to me like just one or two songs are missing. I don't know, I guess it left me wanting more, maybe that's a good thing?
Although I've heard they're breaking up. Not even going on a tour to support this album. Colin their bass player did not contribute anything at all to this album, and Cody did most of it himself, so it wouldn't surprise me if they broke up |

#6 | | not so bright | I just picked this up yesterday. I hadn't heard any of their stuff since "Son, I Loved You at Your Darkest". I REALLY like what they've grown into. Very differant from their old stuff. GREAT guitar work. I gave it an "8".
