I haven't been involved at the PDGA level for quite awhile, but I do know that Ken Climo has earned more than $250,000 over his career. Not bad for playing on weekends and doing your 'regular' job during the week.

The AVERAGE pro disc golfer is only going to make a couple grand per year. Obviously nothing to quit your day job over. There are a FEW people making 10 to 50 thousand a year doing NOTHING ELSE but playing disc golf. Ken Climo, David Feldberg, Barry Schultz, and Nate Doss are amoung that group. They are all jobless and make a living off playing disc golf.

well, if they are making a living off playing disc golf, they aren't exactly jobless.

Last time I talked to Climo, he was involved in home construction business. Not sure it was every day working, or basically overseeing the operations, but he was a home builder. With the money he's made, I would imagine he owns the business now days.

Anyone thrown any of Innova's new 12 or 13 speed discs yet? I haven't had a chance to try them out. I have a feeling they'll be too much for me. I can throw ~400" but with slightly understable discs (SL, Wraith) so I don't know if I'll be able to control the extra speed. Just wondering how much faster you need to be able to throw the new discs to be able to actually get their flight patterns.

I've thrown the Boss, Xcaliber, and the Destroyer. They're all pretty oversable discs for slower arms. If you can throw a Wraith well you'll probably be able to throw the Destroyer pretty well and pick up about 50 more feet in the process.
