I was thinking that too! It sounds a lot like the type of overdrive you hear on The Beatles Revolution. Like they're overdriving a mixer with a guitar plugged straight in.

That's an interesting tone (I had to go look the song up, I couldn't remember the solo). It sounds like an old 60's fuzz, like a Univox SuperFuzz, or maybe a Tonebender.

Yeah, I was thinking it was a Univox or something similar.
It's crazy though...in the middle of this beautiful song is this ice-pick-tone guitar solo.
But again, I can't hear the song any differently. It was one of the many solos that I was originally influenced by.
