I'm wondering what the impedance of the OD circuit is when it is engaged? BTW - is there any way to measure that?
| There is, though I've never done it.... gaussmarkov: diy fx Input and Output Impedance
Actually, you can get a pretty rough guess by looking at the dropdown resistors. Each of these circuits will have an input impedance of 1m<>2.2m

Its not that I'm "worried" about it, its just curiosity. Its my nature to want to know the how and why of things. This am, I noticed that the cord plugged into the bass amp on stage was crooked, so I showed our young bass player about strain relieving cords - how it keeps the cord from failing, and also how it prevents input jacks from getting abused; i.e., that it prevents failure. He didn't seem interested, his response was " I don't know how things work". It shouldn't have, but that really bugged me, probably because I am the designated equipment repair guy, and the bass amp that now has the bent input is on loan to the church from me.

| Interesting: I used the Overdrive on bright without the buffer on at church on Sunday and it sounded fine to me. |

Is it the first pedal in your signal chain? If not, is there a buffering pedal (not true bypass) in front of it? If it is the first in line, and you get a chance, just try flipping the buffer on / off with the OD on to do an A/B comparison, then post the results, and other details like what guitar/pickups, settings on the Trinity, etc. The difference with my rig was very noticeable. I am wondering if it is something external, like my cable, the guitar I used...etc. I have a new Monster Rock cable that I will try in front of it this week.
My rig was: Dillion P90 gold top LP copy > 18' cable > EQ pedal > GNX2 > volume pedal > 18 foot cable > AC15CCx.

| I have a very bare bones setup:
G&L ASAT Semi-Hollow > 10' cable > BOSS TU-2 > SBN Trinity > BOSS DD-3 > 18' cable > Peavey Classic 30 head > Peavey Classic 212 cabinet
At church I didn't have the tuner in the signal chain, so the Trinity was the first pedal in the chain, if I recall correctly. I was a bit rushed before church, so I might have set it up with the delay in front of the Trinity. I can't recall right now. I'll definitely do some more tests with it today or tomorrow. |

| I only made 12..I didn't keep one for myself. 140 is a good price, though corndog's is etched, so it varies from the photo's above.
