I don't necessarily need the money by the 15th, just a definite yes or no so I know how many parts and pcbs to order.

EDIT: But please don't tell me you want one then wait til August to find the money.

I need to draw up the PCBs for the new OD and Dist and then order them...up til now they've been on bread board. But, they're good to go now. So, it'll be at least a week before I can really start building. If anyone is ready to pay now, PM me and I'll give you the info.

Mind if I wait a week, lest anyone back out and the price go up? I'd still be in as this was my idea.

Man... this would really do wonders for my 'dark side' conversion I recently did...

If I didn't love my new Dano' Cool Cat Distortion so much (and if I had the extra money), I'd jump on this in a heartbeat...still... it is very tempting

Is this going to be a one time build or is it going to be offered as a pedal to buy later on? The reason I'm asking is I really have no need for another, but I may decide to jump on this and scrap some of my current pedals.

pending how this goes I may scrap some stuff, (including my totally awesome BDAB, as 2 seems redundant, and if I sold it to a gigging pro, Eric might get more exposure)

But I am not ruling this out of taking out most of my dirt pedals.

how would the overdrive compare to say a fulltone fulldrive 2?

Eric can give a better description, but here is my thought. We have a lot of members here who bought his stuff. I have to say everyone who I have heard with it was blown away by the quality. I am a complete gear snob, I have tried dozens if not hundreds of boutique pedals and I have never heard a complaint about Eric's pedals from any of us here. If you look on this board, you will find disparaging remarks from someone about most things, but if there seems to be a common thread, it is that Eric builds some of the finest pedals. I am a big fan of Alfonso Hermida's stuff, and owning a big daddy amp blaster, I am ashamed to say, that if I had one pedal to go with my amp, I would pick Eric's boost which cost less than a third of some pedals I own.

I don't think we ever had a dissatisfied customer from this board at least.

As far as fulltone goes, I personally have never been a big fan. That is likely because I hate tubescreamers from the inside of my soul, and the fulldrive is IIRC, a TS based pedal. My hatred is not unfounded, as I have owned a good dozen TS variants over the years trying to find their charm because they do sound good when others use them. Thus, the boost is probably quite unlike the boost in most pedals as this is a full blown clean boost pedal in the same housing as the other two effects. I have found most dual pedal/boosts to have a boost that adds a little to the sound. The BDAB is one killer boost. I haven't told Eric this, but I have been offered quite a bit for my boost pedal I got from him earlier. Double what I paid. Its a standing offer, but I will encourage the guy to order direct. Anyway, I expect this to be quite a bit more versatile than the fulltone overall.

This should add a full clean boost pedal functionality independent of the other two effects as I understand it. (Its what I asked for, and this pedal started as a custom build, but Eric thought we could get better cost if he ran a run of them. The drive is supposed to be a transparent overdrive, unlike the mid-heavy effect of a tubescreamer. Some people may not like that as it probably will have quite a different goosing effect than a TS on an already distorting amp, but in my opinion, a more transparent overdrive really lets the guitar shine through, and I plan on using this for light drive, probably standing alone or with the boost cascading into it. And sometimes, you just need a harder distortion.

This is essentially 3 stompboxes in one, unlike most pedals with a boost feature. It was my idea originally, and Eric ran with it. Personally, I would not be surprised if SBNPedals are the next fulltone or other major boutique pedal manufacturer.

The only complaint I have ever heard about one of his pedals is that the pedal in question belonged to another member. They are that good.

I am not affiliated with SBN Pedals in any way but a very satisfied customer and the commissioner of this pedal.

Eric would probably be able to give you a better sonic description, but that is the background on why this pedal is coming into existence. I wanted one pedal to throw in front of my amp and call it good. And I asked the best pedal builder I know, whose ear I trust to make it for me.

I double all of these sentiments. I've had my SBN stuff on my board for a long time. Right now they sit next to a Zendrive and a Crunch Box. They have been next to HBE, Fulltone, Catalinbread, and a few various others. The SBN stuff has stayed on where almost everything else has moved.

And to compare and contrast to Bill, I have a Lil Eagle, and it is one of the best TS pedals I have ever played.

I just picked up a screamin' eagle and a big daddy amp blaster. The eagle bumped my Jekyl & Hyde which I freakin LOVED. I had that pedal as my sole overdrive/distortion for years and this managed to bump it.

As Bill said, I'm sure Eric could give a more sonic description, but the BDAB is one of those 'magic pedals' akin to the BBE Sonic Stomp on my board (although they serve VERY different purposes). It's an effect that you almost don't notice when it's on. It just makes you sound better. You only really notice it when you take it away. I think Bill has said (and I agree) that it sounds more like guitar->amp than just running guitar->amp.

I'm putting some stuff up for sale in the classifieds to get in on this. I plan to keep my BDAB and have two: one running all the time and the second (in this triple pedal) as a boost.

Kudos to Eric. I think that this should be a long standing pedal in your line. To my knowledge at least, there isn't a pedal out there that combines boost, overdrive, and distortion. Any thoughts on a name for this one yet?

Are you going to try to squeeze this into a 1590BB or go bigger?
