Punch-Out!!
No, this isn't a thread for the classic NES title or it's great SNES sequel. This thread is being created in light of the Punch-Out!! remake of sorts making it's way to the Wii in a mere two weeks.

I've been following this game for a few months now and it keeps looking better and better every time a new piece of information crops up about it. The idea of using the remote and nunchuck to throw punches is enough reason to get excited, of course. And I know I should be more disappointed that most of the boxers are familiar faces, but honestly, this game is looking waaay too good at this point to care.

As long as the controls are relatively accurate it should be good. I am surprised that no one has mastered a boxing game for the Wii yet. It, as well as bowling, would be a large revenue stream. I guess Nintendo may have to show everyone how it is done.

From what I understand, you'll also be able to play in classic mode. I think this game is going to be great!

I'm interested in this. From watching the video of the full fight, it looks pretty similar on the surface to the Wii Sports boxing game. Hopefully much more accurate controls and a much larger variety of attacks and defenses will make this game worth while.

I just pre-ordered this. I'm really really excited for this. Mike tyson's Punch Out os one of my all time favorite games. I can still play it to this day and enjoy it a lot.
