Five Iron Frenzy

Maybe I am a little late to the scene, seeing as Five Iron Frenzy is either dead or dying, but I really love Ska and never knew about this band until a couple months ago because of that Relient K CD. Sadly yes I found FiF from a RK CD.

Anyone else like Ska or FiF? I love Ska but I try to mix it up with other stuff.

Five Iron Frenzy actually has their own entire forum. There are quite a lot of us who love them.

Oh while I posted that I now have a question...

I bought two of their CD's Purple Door and Cheeses of Nazereth, any suggestions on other CD's to buy?

Yeah. All of them.

Start with the first one, Upbeats and Beatdowns. Work your way forward from there.

As big of a FIF fan I am, I gotta say that I enjoy their newer stuff (basically Electric Boogaloo and The End Is Near) more. It's more accessible in general, I suppose. I don't enjoy how hard it is to hear Reese's strained voice on the first two albums.

Buy all of them. I can't say enough for the two I already mentioned, the Quantity is Job #1 EP, and All the Hype.

I'm not sure where the OP "bought" Purple Door, I'm pretty sure it's not an official FIF album.

Is Purple Door the music festival where "Proof that the Youth Are Revolting" was recorded? I always thought it was Cornerstone, but I could be wrong.

PTTYAR is at least partially (if not completely) from Cornerstone. On the opening track Reese screams "Cornerstone are you ready?"

It was recorded over 6 or 8 shows or something like that. Reese says how many on the "hidden" track, which is full of bloopers from those shows.
