Anyone can sing scripture with a little practice and practice makes perfect. So much scripture is written in lyric form that make it suitable for song. Don't worry about the skill or quality of sound but approach it like a little child. I'm a guitarist and use it to write my tunes, as I've done this my songs have grown and my abilities have improved. Singing scripture is like mixing spice into food making it easier to to swallow. In Mexico I've eaten food concidered unedible that is quite tasty after adding spices. Many scriptures are impossible to understand but music can take them past human understanding. Worship is not a competition to see who can do it better, it is a bearing of the heart before God and is alway unworthy on its own merits. Sing unto the Lord a new song.
