This is going to sound crazy, but I think Kentl is funnier than the Slope.

rock me donnie
This is a tribute song to Donnie and his silly songs that I decided to write today. It's based on "Wagon Wheel", which was apparently written but never recorded by Bob Dylan. However, a band call The Old Crow Medicine Show recorded it.
I also took a little inspiration from the latest Jars of Clay album with the goofy chorus lyrics...at least one song from it. the title escapes me now, but I love that whole album.


"rock me donnie"

got bored figured CPF is where i'd head
and I'm clickin' my way past every thread
starin' at my screen
hoping I see something worthwhile

i made it through page one in seven seconds
pickin' through the posts then one beckoned
this is what i'm looking for
i can hear donnie sing tonight

so rock me donnie, i'm the water you're the gill

rock me donnie like a baby cradle
you be the soup, i'll be the ladle

runnin' from the thread purgatory called general discussion
i was asked to bring some music and fun
i strum on my guitar
and sing these silly songs

oh the lack of inspiration sets in sometimes
but when it hits i can bring these cheesy rhymes
but i ain't like donnie
everything he writes is money

Actually, I did that. I have no idea where it is now. I think it was on my old computer. Someone here might still have it, but I'm not sure. The lyrics are here in a thread somewhere I think, I just don't have the sound file.
