| Go back to the Audacity website and there should be a link on it for the LAME MP3 encoder.

| School sucks. This week I was all set to go home on Thursday night after class and on Wednesday afternoon I found out about an assignment due on Friday. I worked my butt off, sleep-deprived myself, and got it done just in time, but I was less than pleased. The prof said he mentioned it in the lecture but no one I talked to remembered that. And I really need to figure out what's up with the design project for that course - we were supposed to get into groups online but the guy only had 140 slots available for 250 kids. His lectures are completely pointless. I'm also starting to stress about my other class, Technical Communications, and the big project due in that one in less than a month. I'm not really a fantastic independent thinker/designer. I can add ideas and see the whole picture, no problem, but don't ask me to come up with a great new design for big marks. Unfortunately that's the entire purpose of that course... on the plus side, Physics and Linear Algebra are A-ok. I love physics and the only thing I need to do in Linear Algebra is understand the lecture and complete the problem sets/assignments due every week. I'm looking ahead to the next month with no great anticipation. I wish it was just assignments due every week - that I could deal with.
Thought of the day:
Why can't I just fast-forward four years to when I have my degree and skip all this stress and these projects?

| 700th post!
Should be doing more work in CAD but instead I'm here...
I'm playing hockey tonight for the first time this season. I am ridiculously pumped about it. I love baseball, but if I had to choose, I would choose hockey in a heartbeat. Maybe that's nothing special coming from a Canadian guy whose username references his loyalty to one of the most storied franchises in all sports, not to mention hockey, but hockey truly gets me excited. I won't be playing competitively this winter, but I should catch a fair number of pickup games this fall and there's a possibility of an engineering hockey team from my school going to a weekend tournament in March that I'm very interested in.
And the Leafs start their season tonight on CBC, so I can watch it.
Thought of the day:
I love hockey.

| I made an idiot of myself today. If anyone read my post and felt offended, I truly apologize. My mind was in other places(see above post), and I thought it was funny at the time. Looking back, it was an immature and stupid thing to say. If you want a personal apology, PM me.
Second thought of the day:
Why do I consistently say and do exceptionally stupid things?

| SCHOOLWORK.
It's hitting me like crazy right now. I'm going to try and enjoy Thanksgiving weekend, but I have so much to do. Get to play hockey tonight though
Thought of the day:
I think everyone should give "Forgiven" by Skillet a listen. It's nothing new musically(or lyrically for the most part), but there's just something about it... I like it a lot.

| Mmm Thanksgiving is a wonderful time. However now I'm back to school and work and not much fun. But only for three days
I've nearly convinced a couple of my friends to come to my school next year, which would be awesome. Living off-campus, I haven't had the chance to meet a lot of people, and while I'm not lonely, I would like to have some good friends around.
Leafs got crushed last night.
I've decided that next summer, I'm going to take a different approach to the band paradigm. I'm going to play with one other guitarist who goes to my church, and then maybe add drums and bass once we're comfortable together and sound good. Last year when we tried to add everything at once it was a colossal mess.
I did some singing this weekend with my little sister and recorded it with my new-found abilities in Audacity. I attached a few of the songs. That's her on the piano and me in awe.
Thought of the day:
Why couldn't I be the musical one in the family?

| Hey man, you have a good voice.
What kind of school are you going to?

I'm at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, taking Manufacturing Engineering.
Sounds impressive, anyway.

| So much to do, so little time. I am currently procrastinating.
The Leafs look good after an awful start But my Broncos have lost a couple in a row. And the Yankees won the WS.
I was supposed to get my Physics midterm back today, but apparently the TAs are taking a long time getting them marked. I think I did pretty well and I'm pretty anxious to find out how I did.
Thought of the day:
How do you add tolerances to an NX6 drafting file?

| Remembrance Day. Nothing But A Flower
Nothing but a flower
Commemorates the hour
Such a shallow thought
We can't give you what we ought
We cannot fathom this gift
And so we ignore it every day
Once a year our praise we lift
Then our thankfulness goes away
Too often we have forgotten
To whom we are in greatest debt
We honour them today
Lest we forget
They sacrificed their lives for us
Would we do half as much?
All we can say is that we would
And hope to God that it is true
Amazing love how can it be
That they would die for you and me

| Yesterday was wonderful. All classes cancelled due to a construction company damaging the water main for all of campus. I got a ridiculous amount of work done and feel great about it(7 hours in the same chair will do that for you). I play hockey tonight and I'm pumped.
Thought of the day:
Why can't every day be this great?

| Hooray for classes being canceled. I sometimes wish work would be canceled too. Typically though, it carries on regardless of the weather or the lack of plumbing. Actually, I'm not too sure about the lack of plumbing. It's never happened while I have been here or before that I know of.
