I'm not entirely familiar with a Christian Reformed church, but am interested in learning more about the beliefs. I guess I'll have to consult the Wiki on that one.

There's some required reading, then a meeting one-on-one with the pastor, then presenting our testimonies to council, and then finally profession of faith Sunday.

| That sounds more organized than my experience. Mine, my mom did all my talking for me when I was turning 13 in front of a church.

Watched "The Goods" last night with a couple of friends. So funny, but so bad. "I feel like a smurf just jizzed in my face!"
I get to play drums tomorrow morning in church and I'm pumped. For sheer playing pleasure, the drums are my favourite instrument. Singing can't really be called playing an instrument, can it?
Thought of the day:
I love Saturdays with nothing to do

| Drums was fun. I couldn't hear the piano though so I'm pretty sure we got out of sync at one part, but it was ok otherwise.
Playing ball again tomorrow night, I'm pumped. This unexpected addition to my season has been a lot of fun.
I'm planning a good old get-together for this Sunday afternoon after my profession of faith. A bunch of my friends and family are coming so it should be a good time. If any of you guys want to drive into eastern Ontario for the weekend, we'll put you up.
Thought of the day:
Why can't I be right for once?

| 2-for-5, a double and an RBI, and we won by three runs. I'm still not happy though. I booted an easy grounder and tried to steal home on a wild pitch. The ball bounced off the backstop right back at the catcher... out by a mile. I was pounding the ball, laced two line drives right at the infielders. One was right off the handle, but I still got a lot into it. My double was driven to the left-center gap, showing off some opposite-field power
I'm working on getting a friend hooked on CGR... only time will tell.
Nearly midnight, I need some sleep.
Thought of the day:
Why can't I be satisfied with a win? I mean, it's only the fourth time this year I've been on the winning side of a baseball game.

We've had games where my team won, but I went 1 for 3, and games where my team lost and I've gone 3 for 4. It's definitely hard to keep the perspective that it's not just about you, but what is best for the team.

We've beaten them both times we've played them. I think we should go!
Still no word on the banquet - I'll probably be gone to school before it finally happens. Well I guess I can facebook some of the guys and ask who got MVP.
Worked another nine hours today, I'm saving up some good overtime these days. I'm thinking Monday might be my day to go home early
Last night my profession of faith class met with council. Us three guys doing it got the guys who didn't want to ask too many questions. We were done at 9:05, and proceeded to wait until 9:40 for the two girls to emerge. Guess who was the lead elder with them? My dad... I've tried to explain this respect for other people's time concept before, but it doesn't get through to him. Ever.
Current contest standings:
1. Rainer. - 91.2%
2. OiBoyz - 91.1%
3. tmlfan123 - 85.2%
Unbelievable!
Thought of the day:
What will I do with the prize if the 12% chance of winning actually happens?

| I guess I'll cross that bridge if and when I come to it. Interesting to think about though. You sound so... responsible saying "diapers" like that...

It seems like when I accepted Christ at 14 it was just that. No one was there to make sure I really really understood what I was doing, no one counselled me one on one. I mean, they tried to make sure I understood, but looking back I wish they had gone more in depth.
It just seems sometimes like the laymen are treated as stupid, or too simpole to understand theology....

| Yeah. Especially if they have your mom doing all the talking for you.
