Resident Evil 5 or Left 4 Dead?

I've heard so many good reviews for Left 4 Dead but I've waited years for RE5. Which should i get first?

RE5 is still new so if you want to be thrifty you can buy it, beat it, resell it and then get L4D. You'll get most of your monies back for RE5.

Also depends on what you want. Very different games, in my opinion.

Left 4 Dead. I played the RE5 demo and hated it. Mostly for the controls. Look at this: http://majornelson.com/ Left 4 Dead has been in the top 10 since it came out because of it's awesome replay value. RE5 is up there just this week, but #5 isn't a very promising starting position for a game with no mutiplayer. I'm just talking replayability here....

I found Left 4 Dead more entertaining overall. It's great, but even better if you have friends who have the game too.

Dude, you're about 12 years too late with the criticism of RE controls.

Actually it's what kept me away from the series for so long but I have loved the three RE games I've played.

L4D - Multiplayer: RE5 - No Multiplayer -
(I think) Left 4 Dead is off the Half Life 2 engine...which basically ensures its going to be sweet..

But like Meester Claw said...It depends on what you are looking for.
