A basketball hoop has a circumference of 144.44 cm
and a basket has a circumference of 92.2 cm. What is the
clearance for the ball to go through the hoop?
what whold it be?
i saw this online and it bugs me right now

Maximum clearance should be about 8.3 cm. You need to find the diameter of both
Circumference = pie times diameter
Then simply subtract and divide by two. You divide by two so to find the clearance all the way around if the ball goes through the center of the hoop as opposed to being shifted to one side.
