Yes I had heard that, its on youtube in various places. I like it. After hearing "Goodbye, I" and "The Fox, the Crow, and the Cookie" on their myspace I had a good idea of what I thought the rest of the album would sound like, and its all pretty similar to that style.

What I'd heard about the cd proved true. There is no spoken word or screaming, its all melody driven vocals. But it still seems like its going to be an amazing album. I'm going to go pick it up at the music store tomorrow afternoon and after I've had some more time to listen to it, I'll post again.

I'm excited, still. Hooray for today!

Just to be fair - Bullet to Binary has about 5 seconds of yelling, and a minute or so of spoken word.

I really like this album. It seems like the next logical step after Brother, Sister. I also miss the A --> B Life days but I am very fine with the direction they are moving in.

Agreed.
I bought it today, and I'm not regretting it one bit.

LETTUCE GROWS, LETTUCE GROWS!

I like the album a lot. Cattail Down might be my new favourite. And Timothy Hay.

I'm late to the game but I got this CD at a store last week. I've listened to it a few times. I have mixed feelings regarding the record, and I knew I would. Musically, the album is quite pleasant. I feel the real departure on this record is not in the musical but the lyrical department. Basically I'd say the lyrics are now way more contented and extroverted. And parable-like. That's really not bad in the slightest, but I don't personally connect to these songs lyrically (and thus, not very well in general, even where I like the music) like I have in the past. It's just me, I know.

Favorites are, I think, "Goodbye, I!," "A Stick, a Carrot & String," and "Cattail Down."

It took it a bit to grow on me too. I was SO excited for it's release and tried not to listen to any pre-released stuff but then when I got the album I was kinda deflated that they seemed so far removed from what they were. BUT, the more I examine this album, it's becoming my favorite. The lyrics are some of the most spiritual and intelligent Aaron has written. The music...AMAZING! You'll grow to love it too.
