Brothers music lessons this morning. I get to go hang out for half an hour with my brothers bass teacher in his music shop. Might get some new strings. I really need new acoustic strings. All my old ones broke while I was trying to fix the battery thing and now it has electric 10's on it, which I really don't like. Co-op FINALLY starts back today, I have been waiting all summer and it finally restarts. I haven't seen anyone I really like in three weeks. After co-op its my guitar lessons again, then I'll probably go home.

Oh, I might teach this girl I know some beginner stuff on guitar sometime today, but I'm not really sure if it will happen. I told her I'd be happy to if she wanted to bring her guitar to co-op, but I don't know if she actually will.

Today is gonna be a good day

I'm glad school finally started back. Feels good to get back on schedule again, and I am not as bored anymore.

I forgot how much I love co-op. Most of the people there I hadn't seen in a few months and it was so good to have somebody to make stupid jokes with again . Mostly the only person I hung out with all summer was my cousin and one of my friends who hangs out with my cousin all the time. They are pretty fun, but we just don't click the way I do with some people.

There are a lot of new people this year. More than I can ever remember coming in at one time, and it is just awesome. It seems like everybody there is trying as best they can to make the new guys feel welcome. I haven't seen that much before.

For all my readers (if anybody still reads this ) who don't know what a co-op is, I should probably explain that now. Co-op is when all the homeschoolers in an area go meet once a week and just hang out and have fun. We have ours on Thursdays in the city park gym, and it is really fun. We have classes that they make us do, but nobody takes it that seriously, its just like something to do to keep you from getting bored and they make time for you to goof off if you want to.

This year we have Science, Art, and PE as our classes. I really like all of them except science, and that is just because the teacher is taking it too seriously, but it doesn't really matter because in a few months we get our old one back who was one of the best teachers ever. She was just somebody's mom who decided to sign up for it and it turned out everybody loved her, but she took a break because she is expecting a baby any day now

Art is really really fun this year. The teacher is great, she has a passion for art that I have never seen before, and most of the things she says can be applied not just to drawing but to music, too. Like she's not so much teaching us how to draw, but how to express yourself better in different ways. I am looking forward to this school year a lot.

In other news, me and my dad are working on our van we have had sitting in our yard for I think two years now. We used it to keep trash bags in for a while, but on Saturday me and him went to Wal-Mart and started talking about what I was going to drive when I finally get my license. I have always loved that van, so we spent the weekend cleaning it out, vacuuming it out, changing the oil and getting it to crank. It probably won't be what I drive mainly, but I would love to fix it up so that we could drive it down to the beach on the weekends or whatever if we wanted to I'm having fun on that van.

Life is strange. Very strange. Don't know if you have read it, but I have a thread in the Prayer Request forum. My friend has something wrong with her, and nobody knows what it is, but the symptoms are very serious. She has been put in a children's hospital and has been testing all day long to find out what is wrong with her but nobody knows yet. Some people say she might have what her dad had. He died a few years ago when she was 9 or 10.

We consider each other family. My mom was friends with her mom since before either of us were born and she would baby sit us when her mom had to work. And even though we aren't related, her mom was always "Aunt Deon" to us and my mom was"mama Sonya" to her. It's hard, especially on my mom.

I would appreciate it if anyone who reads this would please pray for her.

It's okay. Thank God she has been a lot better lately. Still in the hospital, but it isn't life threatening anymore. They still don't know what's wrong with her, only that it is probably something with her liver. I just hope she can get better and come back soon.

It's been a while.

So,....
The last few days have been extremely awesome. It is our vacation time from now until Friday, but instead of going anywhere we decided to do things a little differently. This time, instead of going somewhere far away, we are staying home and making a lot of short trips. We just go somewhere interesting and then do whatever we want to from there. We don't know where we are going next. Yesterday at 7:30 they told me to hurry up and get ready, we were going to my old church today (I haven't been there in over five years) . It was amazing. I am surprised at how much I could have forgotten. The service, the songs, everything was awesome. I don't know what I would give to be able to do that every Sunday. And then we got to see a lot of our old friends and my cousins who go there. After church ended we decided to go eat at Pizza Hut with I think it was 16 of the church members. It was just a great great time. Then we went to the beach and did whatever we wanted to for the rest of the day and got ice cream on the way home. Tomorrow we have set up a thing where we are getting all my cousins and grandparents and everybody together at a camp ground to grill out and rent canoes and kayaks. Wednesday we are going to go to the beach fishing with my uncle. It has been great.

And now for my friend.
She got out of the hospital. No pain, waiting for the tests to come in from her liver scan. Sounds like she is doing pretty good. She went to the fair, got a new puppy, and has been hanging out with friends lately. I saw her sister at church this Sunday, but she and her husband left before we had a chance to talk to her.

I'm picking this up again.

I have been doing pretty good lately. Happier than I have been in a long time, and for no particular reason. It's weird. I have been making a lot of new friends and now understand abstract art, which was totally foriegn to me before. I really like doing that. Finding something that I don't understand and then having somebody show me what it is about. My art teacher has been doing that a lot lately, and I have started doing it in pretty much every area of my life that I can. It's just fun to throw yourself out of your comfort zone sometimes.

I have been getting a lot better at guitar lately. Guitar teacher has been teaching me a lot of acoustic blues exercises and songs, it has just been really fun and made me want to get more into stuff like that. I now have the ability to write songs that don't suck, which is new to me .

Weather is great all the time, this time of year is just awesome any way you look at it. When else can you have to wear a jacket and still walk around barefoot? Well, I do that all year long, but its a lot less painful now . And my birthday is coming up in a little while, so I can start driving then. I've been looking forward to that for a long long time and it's finally happening. I just love this time of year. This and spring is the only time when I really get out of the house much. Winter is freezing and I am just not the kind to go hiking at 98 degrees.

Today has been a long day. We washed cars and cleaned up and did other stuff like that most of the day. I just got done setting up a practice with a friend of mine. We are doing Holy is the Lord by Chris Tomlin for a talent show in December. Probably going to practice at her house next Thursday. I'm looking forward to it.

Some chick asked me to go to a ball with her yesterday. It is this thing that happens every month or so (I think) that I have known about for a while but never paid much attention to it. I said maybe. I think I will. Growing up is weird.

She's been in and out of the hospital, I don't think they have a diagnosis yet. She is back in the hospital again right now getting some blood work done but should be back home within a few days. She's okay though. Thanks for asking.

Got up at 5 for no reason this morning. Just couldn't sleep. In my boredom yesterday I found YouTube - Paramore - Use Somebody (Kings Of Leon Cover) - Live Lounge video. I have never heard the original, but I really like this cover. It makes me want to sing it. I don't sing much, so that is weird. I might do my own version of it, I don't know, but either way I want to learn how to play it. If I do record I'll put it up here (if anybody still reads this...).

This girl Britney has been talking to me a lot lately on facebook. I really didn't pay much attention to her until last week, but I want to hang out with her more now. I can't wait until Thursday when I can see her again. I'm gonna try to witness to her. Please pray for me with this. I don't think I've ever done that before.

I like Britney, and she likes me. I want to be careful. It really looks like I'm heading for some type of romantic relationship with her. I'm not sure if I want that yet. Staying just friends is going to be hard, I can already tell, but I don't want to just stop talking to her. Please pray for me here, I'm kinda walking in a mine field and don't really know what to do. Before if I had this kind of problem I could just kinda leave things alone for a while. I can't do that now, I don't know why. Like I said, growing up is weird.
