| I'll say it again, my bracket is doomed.

| I am so disappointed in Xavier; half an inch lost them that game. That and sucking.

They're good...but not THAT good. Last night proves it.
I'm happy Duke lost but can't be too happy until UNC plays. We lose tonight and it takes all the joy out of a Blue Devil flame-out. |

| Depending on what happens tonight I can still have 6/8 and my final four are still playing. Not great...but I've done much worse. |

5/8
4/4 still in

I'd really like to know. |

I'd really like to know. | Because of their coach. He's (at least perceived as) a whiner. The players at least have a reputation for whining all the time even though they get all the calls. And they are perennially successful. They are like the Yankees of college basketball. Also, from what I've seen of them, which isn't that much, they don't seem to have that much fun on the court. It's almost the way the Yankees approach the game. Very businesslike. Of course, I hate UNC too. Just not as much.

Is it really an approach to the game, or do you also hate the other perennially successful teams like UCLA, Arizona (who has the longest current active streak at 25 NCAA Tournament appearances) and Louisville? |

I live on the east coast, so I hardly ever see UCLA or Arizona play, and Louisville is in one of those baby conferences.
For me it is definitely the approach to the game that makes me compare them to the Yankees. I used to be a big Yankees fan. My dad played high school baseball with Paul O'Neill. However, I got sick of watching them play because they didn't have fun, for the most part. I don't know. Maybe because Duke takes it so seriously it makes it even more fun to see them lose. But again, I can't say much about UCLA or Arizona. Maybe those on the west coast hate them too.

There are programs (Kentucky and Kansas) that I enjoy pulling against...but I will pull for them on occasion. I can't think of one possible scenario in which I'd pull for Duke. |

Their coach is a pompous jerk in my personal opinion and rarely takes credit when things go bad. He doesn't mind basking in the adoration when things are good...but he always places blame on someone other than himself. Add their fans into the mix and I will NEVER find a reason to pull for them. |

Duke basketball fans are like the equivalent to USC football fans. I also think Christian Laettner is a tool.
I myself am a UCLA fan, but will generally root for the other Pac-10 teams also. |
