| I'm so excited. I'd love to get copy/paste, push notifications, turn by turn GPS, and MMS. Give us those, and I'd be beyond happy. |

| Considering that of all the things users wanted last time, about the only thing they got was 3G (and not enough battery life to sustain it reasonably)... good luck, iPhone users.

And for the record, my iPhone battery lasts plenty long for me, and I use the 3G network all the time. |

And for the record, my iPhone battery lasts plenty long for me, and I use the 3G network all the time. | My iPhone's battery lasts about a day of "normal" use--and by normal, I mean a few calls a day, 10-20 times checking email a day, iPod usage, eBook reading, occasional texting, and internet browsing. I usually end up charging it every night when I go to bed. If I'm not using it very much, it'll last me two days. It's certainly not the best battery life, but for all the features I've got with this thing compared to my old V3m Razr, I'll take the shorter battery life any day.
As for the new software, really, the only thing I'd like to see besides MMS (which I really don't miss that much) is a copy and paste function.

Every Windows Mobile phone has GPS, can download whatever you like, and has always had exchange support. What, specifically, is so great about those "upgrades"? From an industry and technological perspective, it's literally them making a step to catch up to the rest of the industry.

Your post said that iPhone users didn't get what they wanted in the last upgrade. And yet the number one thing everyone wanted, the App Store, was added in version 2.0.
Whether you think the iPhone is somehow miles behind every Windows Mobile phone or not isn't even relevant. |

| In-App purchase to enable more app functionality
Peer to peer connectivity
Accessory connectivity
Google map controls (including allowing apps for turn by turn directions)
Push notifications
Cut/copy/paste
Landscape mode in all apps
Messages (MMS)
Voice memos
New Calendar support
Enhancements to the Stock App
Search (Spotlight)
More bluetooth connection features
And a ton of other smaller feature additions
Tethering being built in the software, Apple working on it with carriers
Yes, most of this should have been available from 1.0, but I'm just happy it's finally coming. Most all of the major features people felt were lacking are finally being added.
And I hate to say I told you so, H.M. Murdock, but... uh.... yeah.... told you so. |

| This is a great software update. The majority of shortcomings of the iPhone have been addressed with this update. |
