job hunting sucks, I agree. have you looked into subbing? if nothing else, it's extra cash and you can take time off whenever you want. | China or Spain could both be cool. I could roll both ways, at the very least.
You know, I've talked to a couple of people about subbing a little, but I haven't looked into it myself. Partly because I really don't even know where to start looking.
Yeah, I felt like I needed to update this thing ama jig again, so here I am. Too bad there's nothing new to really talk about. Job hunting still sucks, though the leads are getting a tiny bit more promising. This week, I've started trying to back on the proverbial horse and start reading scripture again every morning. I tried a few months back in an effort that ended about as poorly as you might expect it to. Kept with it two days so far. Maybe I'll actually stick with it longer this time.
I think I might be getting addicted to that old, old classic Punch Out!!. So much so, that I took the opportunity to download it's sequel, Super Punch Out!! a couple days ago (and for the record, it's also great, but, well, there's a reason you just can't beat the classics). This franchise is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Oh, and my step-brother bought a strobe light for some stupid reason this evening, but guess what? It works! And it's actually kind of cool!! We're so totally going to turn the lights out and just strobe out to I'm on a boat and I'm blue (da ba dee) one very boring night. new Jars of Clay coming out next week y'all. just sayin |

| by the way, I just thought of the best thing ever: walkind down the streets of chicago singing frank sinatra's song about chicago. although I can only remember about one line. and of course, chicago might kick us out. but it would still be fun!
btw Gwen and I have also started planning a get-together, so we can have a fun little group! I just hope you guys don't mind seeing the university. the other option is to ask my relatives to go with me, but I think they will be working. it will be the thirdish week of august, though, so if your schedule is clear at any point Gwen was telling me about this restaraunt where they purposely are insulting. knowing me, I will be laughing at them the whole time. |

I wouldn't mind getting kicked out of the city. Getting shot is what I'd be more worried about Quote: |

| I'm in.....tentatively. Only because a ridiculious amount of stuff can happen in five months.
and re your re to my UC: I expected nothing yet. Twas just a friendly reminder I'm in kind of a sulky mood right now, over a really silly thing. I wrote this......blah, blah, blah!!
IT'S OVER!!!!!
Anyway, there's not much else to say at the moment. I'm really not one of Saturdays' biggest fans these days.

| Would you believe I'm so bored these days that I might actually consider doing such a thing?
But only if it wasn't on something Biblical. And I know that sounds like a terrible thing to say, but I've been writing research papers with a Christian bent for the past few years. I'm sort of burnt out by now.
So we drove into town and parked at a local church on a hill to watch the "Thunder Over Louisville", which is basically this fireworks display the city puts on across the river in honor of Derby day...or something. I don't know. Somebody with more horse sense then I could probably explain all that better. The display was nothing to write home abou, so I'm writing about it in a blog instead. Still definately worth seeing, though. Of course, I'm always a sucker for fireworks. |

| haha. no, it's not Biblical. it's on sleeping disorders and obesity. and the correlation between the two.
(shoot me now. it's a very relevant topic, but I am not a health or sciences student!) |

(shoot me now. it's a very relevant topic, but I am not a health or sciences student!) | That sounds really interesting, actually. Do you think it'd be a possiblity to read a copy after you've finished writing it?
This week has kind of slow to start up, but it's been good so far. I received an e-mail from a potential employer politely declining my application, which is a bummer, but they're the first company to give me any sort of response yet, so props for that...I guess.
I just got back a little while ago from picking up Jars' The Long Fall Back to Earth and it's pretty much phenomenal so far (I'm currently about ....two thirds of the way through my first full listen of the entire album). I am really, really loving the musical direction they took with this one. It's like they went out of their way to back every sonic nook and cranny with as many sounds as possible. ...I'll have something more comprehensive to say about it later, I'm sure.
It's been raining on and off for a remarkably long time this week. Started Sunday night and it really hasn't let up for longer then a few hours at a time since then. It certainly made driving through all the local towns an interesting trip.
But enough about me. How are you doing today [type your name here]? |

| Ah, a new blog/journal/thing. I look forward to reading, and perhaps occasionally posting.
Based on your glowing reviews, I think I'll have to check out the JoC cd...any songs that stood out above the others?
If you got to be the supreme ruler of one country, which would you choose?

At the moment my personal favorites are Two Hands, Closer, Headphones, Don't Stop, Scenic Route and There Might Be a Light. Every song is a winner though. And I've never really said that about a Joc album before. Quote: |

| You know, I am being drawn to say Ireland for some reason. Or maybe Norway. That might be cool. |

| of course you can read it. I don't know how good it is, because I was rushing to finish it so I could get the heck out of here and go to my friend nicole's, but it's at least a good starting point for other research.
you'll just have to get online at the same time that I do so I can send you a file transfer. |

Hmmm, I'm wanting to jot some thoughts down tonight, but I really don't have all that much to say. It's been a pretty uneventful day. Well, kind of a stressful evening, but not a big deal. I am getting kind of sick on my step-siblings selfish attitudes. Well, tonight it was mainly my step-brother's uncanny ability to blow up at really minor issues. Like losing at a video game and then throwing the controller at a region below my belt in a fit of anger, for instance. I called him out on it earlier. He knows it's a problem, but he doesn't want to put in the effort to change. They're both pretty much the same way. It's frustrating, especially for their dad, but I digress here.
I also realized while sitting in church tonight that even while settled in with family and a church community how alone I still feel. And I'm not sure what else to make of that other then to leave it in the hands of the almighty for now. I sent an envelope with a hand-written card and a burnt cd on it's way to Texas this afternoon, and with that action I had to wonder if there really is such a thing as a friendship worth fighting for, even when the two parties are so far away from each other.
I think I'm going to try doing some hardcore creative writing tomorrow. I haven't had time to write anything for NaMoPoWri yesterday or today, so I need to try and play catch up.
And gosh, I still love, love, love this new album. It's fanfreakintastic. It really is.

Reason: because control and controller can totally change that sentence

I need to be reminded that every once in a while (well...there are a lot of things I could use an occasional reminder about). And this person is definately worth fighting for. It's just becoming frustrating what with my horrible phone service, and the feeling that this place is slowly sucking the will to fight out of me every single day. Ehhh....
....Aaaaanyway, I am tired tonight. Just got back from a four hour round trip to listen to roughly twenty minutes of high school band music. I'm not sure it was worth it, but on the other hand, it means a lot to my step-father to be at these things, even if his kids treat him like crap. And it means a lot for my mom and I to stick it out with him, so there's that. It's all making me kind of start to miss my own family which is surprising. Hmmm. Whatever. On to lighter and more interesting things.
I ordered a copy of this cd a couple nights ago. It kind of figures that a preview would show up the very day after I took a leap of faith and bought the dang thing I think it'll all work out though, cause the majority of these tracks sound really, really cool. I mean, who the heck would have guessed that Ben Folds and acapella music go together as smoothly as peanut butter and jelly? (a word to the weary : if you find naughty four letter words distasteful, then tracks 4, 7 and 14 be thy kryptonite)
Alright, I should go bed pretty soon. Or something.

| I hmmmmed at your hmmm. that is very interesting. =)
I'm sure your stepdad appreciates you supporting him.
crappy phone service can be circumvented, you know. send emails. send notes. oooh send flowers.
really though. snail mail is always so exciting to get, and no one really writes letters any more. maybe you should try your hand at it. |
