Thats my prediction anyway. | I'd love to be as optimistic, but when I look at our division it still scares the crap out of me. We're playing great now, but it's still very very early. Quote:

There is no way one manager can do that to a team. He can change a team's attitude, change its spirit, win a few tight ones with shrewd judgement, but he never threw a pitch or swung a bat for anyone. The Jays had nearly as good a team as the Yankees last year, but just never put it together until late. This year, they're just on fire early. If they had proven starters beyond Halladay, I'd say they're for real, especially since Rios isn't hitting very well yet. Without them, however, it's anybody's guess how they'll fare over a 162-game season.

However, two sources said the substance Ramirez tested positive for was a gonadotropin. Major League Baseball’s list of banned substances includes the gonadotropins LH and HCG, which are most commonly used by women as fertility drugs. They also can be used to trigger testosterone production. Testosterone is depleted by steroid use, and low testosterone can cause ED.
| And from what I've heard I do have to agree with Art,at least he's taking it the right way.Sucks for LA though, man what a start.

| What has happened to the Mariners? It's like last year all over again.

| Our fourth lowest runs allowed in the American league was carrying us for a while, but that probably won't last. Meanwhile, we are in dead last in run support. So I'm guessing that we can watch our pitchers tire out and our batters not care, as we settle for mediocrity once again.
I'm going to the Mariners vs. Red Sox game anyways this Friday.

| Giants got clobbered in LA today, but they can win the series tomorrow with Lincecum on the mound. They have not lost a series since their third series. One game above .500!
And Zito had another great game last night. 3 earned runs in his last 4 starts, all three runs in one game. And yet, last night was his first win. If only this team had some offense. |

| IM really excited to see Blue Jays VS New York next week. Roy Halliday vs AJ Burnett what a matchup. Plus i would like to see how the jays are actually going to contned against our own division. If we can get through this month playing everyone in our division once and we are still doing well there is hope for the Jays.
I really dont understand why Rios isnt hitting at all and all his hits he is getting are ground balls that just get by the infield. I dont see him turning around at all( i could see the Jays saying hes injured like they did with Wells and Ryan last year well for Ryan this year too) |

| I don't get to see many of the Mariners games (if any, actually) but from looking at the box scores the 3 runs per game they've scored over their 6 game losing streak usually doesn't help..
Verlander is hot..and its always good when your team hasn't allowed a run for 18 innings.

| Braves take 2 of 3 from the Phillies and I thought the 2 wins were great games for the Braves overall.Vasquez pitched brilliantly on Saturday and Kawakami had a solid 2 runs in 6 innings yesterday, plus the bullpen looked solid in both. Now to see if we can manage anything against Santana and try to slow down the Mets. And I still think we should give Schafers wrist a rest, but seems to be feeling a little better.

| The Jays play the Yankees tomorrow, Halladay starting for the Jays and Burnett for the Yanks. This has the potential to be the game of the year for Jays fans, but one problem, it's at the same time as the Bruins game!
I'll just have to watch highlights.

| Braves take down the Mets,8-3!Both runs scored while Santana was pitching were unearned, but thats the only way you can get them off of him right now.Jurrjens on the mound tomorrow(still cant figure out how our guys have let him lose twice!).Im stoked, its looking like its gonna be a tight 4 team race in the NL East.
