What?! The DH is a big part of what makes the American League the best. No one wants to watch a pitcher with a .110 batting average embarass himself.

The DH is what makes the AL less interesting. less strategy. Less sac bunting. Less awesomeness.

By the way, CC Sabathia is probably a better hitter than most teams' 7-9. Micah Owings, Mike Hampton, Matt Cain, Brad Penny, Livan Hernandez... There are plenty of pitchers out there who can hit. It is pure and right and good.

Indeed. I would say bunting for a base hit takes more talent than hitting a home run.
