Towers has been the source of a lot of frustration over the years. At the end of last season people were asking for his head on a platter. I agree that the Padres did much better than expected this year though.

Hmm. You are closer to the situation than I am. I like him, though. There has been some talk of the Giants offering him a non-GM position. Just speculation, of course.

Somebody has to take the fall when the team does badly. I think it's going to be a manager/GM combo here in Toronto. Apparently the players don't like Gaston, and it's much easier to can the manager than 25 players.

Glad that season is over though. And I'm betting on the Tigers.

One game playoff in Minnesota between the Twins and the Tigers tomorrow! I wish I could watch it. It should be a fun game.

Otherwise, I find this year to be typical and boring. I doubt I will be watching much, if any of the postseason. Plus, Hockey has started. <3

But I can tell you this much. I am already excited for pitchers and catchers to report in February!!

I think its pretty sweet when you play 162 games, yet it comes down to one deciding game. Anyhow..go Tigers!
