Brad Penny pitched his 4th career complete game tonight. I was there, and he was fantastic. He gave up 1 unearned, and the Giants won 4-1 in my final trip to AT&T this year. Good way to go out, though not by far my favorite trip of the year. I did get a beer stein, though!

Halladay pitched his 4th complete game shutout of the season last night. I really hope he decides to stay in Toronto and J.P. Ricciardi doesn't pull another bonehead move and deal him in the offseason.

There is still some good in this world.

I'm looking forward to the slight possibility of Ricciardi not being there at all. I want Doc to see the playoffs, the Jays can do it, but they have to learn some consistency when it matters.

Honestly, J.P. Ricciardi is an idiot. He is the baseball equivalent of John Ferguson Jr.(formerly of the Leafs). He has no idea what he's doing, and his five-year "plan" went up in smoke long ago. How he is still GM of the Jays is beyond me.

Beyond me as well. Everytime he does an interview, he just gives off this arrogent impression "well I don't even like the Jays anyway, so don't blame me for them sucking".
I thought his 8 year deal runs out at the end of this season, does it not?

Kevin Towers was fired...that's going to be interesting. Towers has made some of the GM moves in Padres history. He's also laid some major eggs.

Towers should not have been fired. With what he had to work with this year, the Padres should have lost 120 games, but he gave them so much with so little.
