Hey, the Mariners actually won a game. I'm not giving in to false hope of a turnaround season just yet, though.

But it was picturesque to have Griffey hit a home run in his first game as a Mariner played in "The House That Griffey Built." And King Felix looked pretty good...

CC Sabathia and Mark Tex are both slow starters. CC had a horrible game, and Tex left 4 men on base. Not surprised they lost.

True, but given the payroll of the Yankees, you'd expect a better performance against a team like Baltimore.

It is one game into the season. I would not look too deep into Baltimore winning one game against the Yankees.

It was nice to see three Giants go deep in their opener. Crazy game. Happy for a winning record!

I'm not looking too much into it, just saying it's a nice change of pace. It gets old having one team dominate the other all the time.

However, the Braves have also beaten Philly again. Jones hit his first homer of the season, which is a good thing. Despite my desire to see them win, he's not exactly the most healthy player to come along and it's good to see him contributing when he can.

Oh yeah, and I loved seeing Griffey homer yesturday! If the Mariners pitching is reliable this year, I think they can be competitive in the West.

Good to see steady Braves pitching early on,especially against the Phils. The hitting isnt too bad either.5 homers in 2 games.Im liking this Schafer kid too, good arm, good speed, good bat.

Braves lost to the Phillies and the Orioles won again over the Yanks. I know, it's still early, but it looks like the Os may be on to something.

Overall though, it looks like it could be an interesting this year if everything keeps going that way that it's going.

Nice to see the A's take two of three from the Angels.

Manny Gallardo homered off of Randy Johnson. Three run shot. Unbelievable. First pitcher ever to homer off Johnson.

Matt Cain tomorrow, then three in San Diego!

That bullpen meltdown was pathetic. And after 2 straight good games from them. They'll get it straightened out and the offense is still looking good,Schafer had his 2nd homer along with McCann.I still dont see how you let 4 runners walk with the bases loaded though, thats just pathetic.

HA WHAT NOW!?!? The Tigers had an awesome game today. Down 4, and had a 6 run eighth to win. That makes 3 sweet victories in a row.

The Mariners are 5-2! Pitchings looking awesome!

Before the collapse begins, I'd like to point out that my Padres have just swept the Giants and are currently in sole possession of first place with a record of 5-2.
