Well, the Giants Organization currently has the best cumulative Minor League record... The A's AAA team is back to back AAA champions... I don't know how you might substantiate a claim like that.

I think when it's said that the Red Sox have the best farm system it's measured by the success of the guys that make it to the big leagues. For example, Jake Peavy and Tim Lincecum would be examples of successful players from their respective team's farm systems.

In the case of the Red Sox you're looking at:
Jon Lester
Jonathan Papelbon
Dustin Pedroia
Kevin Youkilis
Jacoby Ellsbury

Basically the core of the Red Sox organization right now. I don't know too many other teams (possibly because I don't follow many other teams) that can really say that. I also realize that this does not account for players who are minor leaguers for one team and traded into another team's farm system where their career finally takes root.

Oh, that makes plenty of sense... I know that the Giants' farm system has gotten MUCH better in the last few years... Tim Lincecum, Matt Cain and Pablo Sandoval all came out of the Giants farm system, after years of weakness... Now we have really good looking prospects like Kevin Pucetas, Conner Gillaspie, Buster Posey, Tim Alderson, Madison Bumgardener, Ryan Sadowski... But yes, the Red Sox have done an amazing job of growing their own talent.

Not to mention Hanley Ramirez, one of the best middle infielders in the game who actually grew up in the Red Sox farm system.

I love Hanley Ramirez. He's probably my favourite player in the league not playing for the Blue Jays.

Twins clip rangers, yes! Although, Mauer's average slipped again.

Lincecum and the bullpen were great yesterday... But the offense could only put up one unearned run in 14 innings. That just does not get it done.

Mauer is still sliding; he's 0-3 so far, but the twinkies are leading going into the bottom of the 7th.

No CG for Baker, but another save for Nathan! Nice win.

I like Joe Nathan too. He stole my first name for his last name though.

Or did you steal his since he's (most likely) born before you?

Twins lost, Mauer, Morneau, and Cuddyer Combined for 0-15. What are we paying those guys for? i have to admit that I am a little irritated.

Three guys with a combined BA of .315 have that one game where they all play badly...I wish that was the least of my team's problems.

That happens sometimes, man. One game isn't a reason to start complaining.

Mariners are playing well... won 6 of 8. Unfortunately, the Angels are playing just as well. Suck!
