#136 | | Baby #2 is here! | OK...so, I've been a fan of the Texas Rangers my whole life. I grew up in Arlington. I saw Nolan Ryan pitch a few times at the old Rangers stadium. I was the 2nd game ever at the Ballpark in Arlington. My parents went to the All Star game when it was in Arlington. Every year I come on early in these threads and say..."I'm still supporting my rangers, even though they will probably suck this year."
This is hands down the best/happiest/relieved I've been with a rangers team in quite a while. In 2004 they were in the running to get to the post season up until the very last week of the regular season, but that was the extent of my excitement THIS DECADE!
Well, I know its still early and LOTS can (and will) happen, but...
GO RANGERS!!!

| 2 out of 3 from the Sox isn't bad. A start at least.

#138 | | Cool enough Administrator | Giants take 2 of 3 from St. Louis at home. That's 5 of 6. Looking good again. It is a constant back and forth with this team. *sigh*
Lincecum in Washington is next, and possibly Randy Johnson's 300th on Wednesday night. I'm pumped! |

| Well that was fun! The Mariners were up 7-1 against the Angels, in prime position to sweep the series against the Angels. We lost 8-9 in the bottom of the 9th, after two runners for the Mariners were tagged out at home in the 8th or 9th inning. Argh. We had 8 runs in the game! Aardsma blew his save for the first time. |

| I have a hard time faulting Aardsma... he must have been tired, having pitched the two previous nights as well. I question Wakamatsu's bullpen choices on a regular basis. We see way, way too much of Mark Lowe. |

A three game series with the Angels starts tomorrow, lets hope they can play like they were at the beginning of the year against them.
At least Rios has picked up his game a little bit.

I wish I could watch Mariners games..

Living right outside of DC I gotta support the Nationals (although the Mets are my favorite team). The Nats have scored more runs than the whole NL behind just Philly and LA. But they've given up the most by a staggering margin. Roy Halladay has a good chance of ending the season with more wins than the Nationals. |

| Braves cut Tom Glavine yesterday, dont necessarily think its a bad thing.I didnt really foresee him making it back and being productive. However we did trade 3 minor leaguers for Nate Mclouth yesterday,I do think that is a good move as long as we keep him.

| It's good to see the M's getting things to go their way for the most part! Besides the 9-8 loss against the Angels and the two hit, 1-0 loss against the Orioles (which I went to), for the past week and a half the pitching and hitting has synchronized a bit better. Still a .500 team at best, but it's good to see an improvement from last year's disaster.
Going to see Felix against Liriano on Friday with my dad! Might be my last M's game of the summer, so hopefully we can win that one. |
