Of course. Obviously winning a game is better than losing one. And you want to win more games so that you can clinch a playoff spot. And you want to win more playoff games so you can win the Super Bowl. And then the goal is to win the Super Bowl (of course the new season hasn't started yet, maybe they are changing something).

I'm not sure where I said that winning games during the regular season doesn't matter. I'm also not sure where I said Romo didn't win "quite a few of those."

Dude. Every team (and I emphasize team, not quarterback) fails to win the Super Bowl every year, except one. In his three years of not winning the Super Bowl, I really don't understand how he can be established as a choke artist. Why did that Seattle game even come down to a potentially winning field goal? Because the TEAM wasn't as good/didn't play as well.

Considering how much Romo was hyped when he first left the bench I don't think my criticism is out of line. One SportsCenter deity reffered to him as the next Brett Favre, citing his "swashbuckling" style of play. I really don't think I'm that out of line. He has a lot to prove.

He has his own football for God's sake. Don't you agree that's a little much for someone three years of "not winning the Super Bowl?"

He has his own football because he's the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys.

As for hype, that isn't my problem to deal with. I don't care what hype has been put on him by ESPN and whoever else, he's only been playing for three years. Hype does not affect my argument at all.

I'm not sure what that means. To my knowledge Troy Aikman never had his own football. He won a Super Bowl. To my knowledge Drew Henson never had his own football. To my knowledge Vinny Testaverde never had his own football.

Its not really a "problem" for anyone to deal with. Its a fact of the matter at hand, and its not some sort of "optional" problem. Expectations are high for someone who is hyped a lot. There's a necessary correlation there. That's just wishful thinking on your part.

There's obviously a reason for the hype. Many people saw him perform well in his first regular season as a starting QB (although he was signed as an undrafted rookie free agent in...2003), and outrageous comparisons were made. So yeah, it has something to do with your argument whether you like it or not.

And much has been made of his talent (which I am not denying). So far, as we have seen, he chokes in the playoffs. The playoffs are more important than the regular season fella.

And never did I say that's the sole reason the 'Boys failed in the playoffs, so don't put words in my mouth again, please. I'd appreciate that, but all things considered my expectations aren't high.

I remember a Troy Aikman football.

But my point was, it is marketing, not hype. I've seen plenty of merch for players who ended up being crap. He's a QB for a very popular team. For this reason alone, it does not surprise me in the least to see a Romo football.

Irrelevant. My point stands: Hype has no bearing on whether or not he's a choke artist.

My name is not fella, please don't refer to me with nicknames like that. I honestly don't appreciate it.

Actually, I never said that you did. You are the one putting words in MY mouth.

My whole point is, he doesn't play like a choke artist. He plays like a young quarterback who has little playoff experience. It is completely premature to call him a choke artist.

To me that infers that I assumed that Romo was the sole cause of the 'Boys meltdown. If that is an incorrect inference I apologize.

Frankly I'm tired of reiteration (I suspect you are too). We'll have to agree to disagree. Let's leave it at that.
