Unveiling the Mystery of a Woman's Soul

by John and Stasi Eldredge

We are reading this book in the bible study i'm apart of. I was wondering what others here thought about this book? Is it trust worthy?

I'm a guy and I've only read part of it, so take that as you will, but I don't like it at all.

there's some good and there's some bad. I got really frustrated at a lot of it, but then there were other parts that were thought-provoking, and that's good.

your general rule should be to take everything with a grain of salt, and not rely on anything, even if it's written by a christian, to have all of the answers. that is setting yourself up for failure.

so...by all means, keep reading it, but don't expect that it will give you all the answers, or even a bunch of great answers, because the truth is that it won't. it should, however, inspire some further thoughts for you to wrestle with and think about personally, apart from the book. and that's a good thing.

read more books! listen to more classical, jazz and world music! play more other stringed instruments!

Everyone I know speaks very highly about it... but I haven't gotten around to reading it yet.
