How can I learn to get the most out of my multi effects pedal?

I just got a new multieffects pedal for my guitar. Specifically it is a Deltalab DGFX1. Pretty decent from what I can tell, especially for the price.
Anyways, if you have tips and advice, or songs that have effects in it that maybe change around. Or a website that goes through it.
Please share what you know if you have worked with a multieffects pedal, especially with this model. I checked the list of effects of what is known that people own so if you have general advice that would be pretty cool too.

I've worked with multi-effects pedals, just not that brand. In fact, I've never heard of that brand, but it can't be that bad.

The first thing I recommend is to read through the instruction manual at least two times. Seriously, this will help you figure out where everything is at in the pedal, how things are layered, and what affects what. It will usually give you some presets to try out if there isn't some already programmed into the pedal.

After that I would try and find a group online that is dedicated to that effects pedal. If you can't find any sometimes you are lucky enough to find suggestions for settings that different people have made. Overall though your best bet is to experiment with the thing and to keep tweaking it until you find something you like. There are (probably) usable tones in there, you just have to find them.
